Star Burst. Four colour theorem lines. Mick Burton, 1971

Star Burst. Four Colour Theorem applied to a map of shell shapes wound round from the centre. Rainbow sequence of colours. Mick Burton, 1971

The continuous lines produced by the Four Colour Theorem split the shell shapes into two sets of sequences. I rubbed out one set to leave the space between the coloured sequences. Just like matter and anti matter in space. It also shows how space in a picture can have equal value to the subject drawn.
